STATEWIDE SUMMIT ON BEHAVIORAL HEALTH:
AN OPPORTUNITY FOR COLLABORATIVE CHANGE


What: The Statewide Summit on Behavioral Health: An Opportunity for Collaborative Change, sponsored by the Maryland Judiciary in collaboration with the Governor’s Office of Crime Prevention and Policy (GOCPP) and the Maryland Department of Health/Behavioral Health Administration (MDH/BHA). The two-day Statewide Summit will include information and/or presentations by national, State and local leaders on crisis intervention, competency, diversion, community behavioral health, re-entry, trauma, Assisted Outpatient Treatment (AOT) and Sequential Intercept Model (SIM). State and local jurisdictions will have multiple opportunities to engage in facilitated action planning at the Summit for implementation post-Summit.


When: Wednesday, May 21 – Thursday, May 22, 2025, at 8:00 AM-5:00 PM

Who: Invited jurisdictional teams composed of administrative judges, court commissioners and court administrators/clerks of court as well as leaders from law enforcement, crisis services, pretrial, corrections, parole and probation, Office of the State’s Attorney, Office of the Public Defender, local behavioral health, hospitals, local government, and various leaders from all branches of State government.
