Dr. Dupont works with behavioral health systems and crisis intervention strategies. He is the Behavioral Health Lead Member for the Baltimore and Cleveland Federal Courts Police Consent Decree Monitoring Teams. He is a professor and clinical psychologist at the University of Memphis School of Urban Affairs and Public Policy, Department of Criminology and Criminal Justice. Previously, Dr. Dupont was on the faculty of the University of Tennessee Center for the Health Sciences where he was the Program Director for the Regional Medical Center Psychiatric Emergency Services. Dr. Dupont has received national recognition as the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) Psychologist of the Year, John Jay College Law Enforcement News Person of the Year, and CIT International Special Recognition as a CIT Founding Member. In addition to the Federal Courts, Dr. Dupont has consulted with the U.S. Department of Justice, the American Psychological Association, and law enforcement entities in Australia, Canada, China, and Uruguay. His consulting work includes a wide range of state and local municipal governments including mental health and law enforcement agencies throughout the United States.
