About me
Nancy Brown is the Division Chief of Research and Data Analytics at the Maryland Department of Health. Since 2016, Nancy has worked on implementing new programs and evaluating existing programs within Maryland’s Medicaid Program in the Office of Innovation, Research, and Development. Nancy is currently collaborating with the Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services (DPSCS) and the Department of Juvenile Services (DJS) on various activities designed to improve care transitions for those reentering the community from a correctional facility. Other Medicaid issues she has worked on include Public Health Emergency (PHE) Unwinding and Medicaid redeterminations, expansion of Medicaid to undocumented pregnant people through the Healthy Babies program, and statewide adult dental expansion. She has a Masters of Science in Public Health degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (2016) and a Bachelor’s degree from Carnegie Mellon University (2012).
